Aw, Sylvester McCoy isn't *that* bad. It's just that he had a particularly crap assistant, and crummy storylines. I don't think Dr Who ever really recovered from Colin Baker's first few episodes, alas. I totally agree with you about the other film-related hates, and the token gestures towards people in wheelchairs. I noticed that even the PC, generally liberal Academy Awards presenters still refered to the "wheelchair bound." That was one impressive thing about "Notting Hill," a character in a wheelchair without it being a major plot point.

Wow! A diaryland diary that isn't by a silly teenage American bisexual "grrrl" that's into anime!! :D Great diary - I so agree re: the BBC idents. I record every episode of Neighbours (yeah yeah, I know) and it ticks me off when the wheelchair people come on because it's like, hello. You understand? Yeah. Well, great diary anyway!!
